Just Another Thought

So, here's my thinking...our posts are archived, right? We can post pictures, right? Let's start our first real writing about our place. (Remember, I had that 'Taste of Place' thing going on last summer?) As a writing group, and hopefully the others will want to join in, we want to begin somewhere. I'm hoping the months of July and August will get us started, so we can't wait to rush to the computer and write, write, write throughout the year. I think we need something to help us all get a taste for the place where we each live, work, and play. This will be the July post. (Think of the fun too of posting photos!) In August, when we begin school, we'd want to include who our students are, what you teach, requirements from the state, etc. I'm thinking we may want to take a look at what we have at the end of the school year and put it together for publishing - there are many avenues we can go down, but we won't know until we get there; and, we won't know until we start writing and looking at where it unfolds (I'm thinking snow days in Magalia?). So, not to be the dictator here...let's think of possible prompts for the coming months - July and August would be looking at your place (and also, if you could throw in a story with a receipe - like Kathy's peach cobbler - to get the juices flowing, it would make my heart proud.) Each new piece of writing should be posted as it's own, then we can respond to each other's writing as a post. Whew...so, what do you think? Can we e-mail the others again with an invitation? Am I being too bossy? Is it doable?
