Thinkers, Writers, Gals Gone Bloggers

Okay, here goes - a professional high? Maybe when I got to read the names at graduation of my three students who almost DIDN'T make it...And, what to change next year? Well, that's easy! My hair color! :-) Seriously, my brain is still trying to catch up with this past week - grades, taking stuff off the walls, saying good-bye to some great kids, cleaning my desk (an annual nightmare). So, I'm off to Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende con mi madre. No mint julips there, but maybe a Corona or Pacifico or cactus juice. I'm interested in learning about the Mayans, Toltecs, etc. I do have an idea for next year, though, (I'll have all the seniors) and that's having them write proposals like we'd do for an editor - I'm thinking it may help the kids by giving them a tool to help focus and plan their writing.I'm also doing more with expository text. But, for right now, I'm wrapped up in my blankie, shivering, dreamingof a hot, summer day and wondering what the hell is going on with this weather! Even Honey-dog is suffering from all this rain (or maybe the earthquakes) - she doesn't seem to want to come out from under the bed. So, I'm babbling - more information than anyone really wanted, I'm sure. I'm just so excited to be able to jabber on...a gal gone blogger!
